A recipe born
in the Punjab
5Tara began with a dream and a 96-year-old family lamb recipe passed down through generations in North India. Today, that same recipe — unchanged, uncompromised — is the heartbeat of everything we cook.
Inspired by the Punjabi Dhaba tradition — roadside restaurants where honest food is served with fierce hospitality — we brought that spirit to Sheffield. No shortcuts. No excess oil. Just pure, slow-cooked flavour rooted in heritage.
Our lamb is slow-cooked for 48 hours. Our lassis are made without added sugar. Our paneer is house-made daily. This is food as it was always meant to be.
“In terms of pure taste value, it was the best curry I’ve ever had in Sheffield — perhaps anywhere.”Exposed Magazine, Sheffield
“We see 5Tara as a fusion of our culture, religion and food — a perfect harmony. We want every guest to feel like this is their second home.”
